Since forming the Bridges Institute, we have worked to create avenues for practitioners, researchers, educators, and pastoral professionals interested in spiritually integrated treatment approaches to connect and collaborate. Collaborative research, training, and practice are more feasible today than ever. Web-based outcome assessment systems and data analysis tools simplify data collection and analysis. Online continuing education opportunities focused on spiritually integrated treatment are increasingly available. Sharing research, training, and practice resources online is now more manageable than ever. Owing to technological advancements, professionals worldwide can collaborate. Bridges Institute provides researchers and mental health providers with access to high quality, affordable research tools and services to assist them in documenting and enhancing the effectiveness of spiritually integrated treatment. Bridges-Templeton Foundation Grant
The John Templeton Foundation awarded Professor P. Scott Richards a $3.57 million dollar grant in 2017 to conduct a three year research study with researchers, practitioners, and clergy throughout the world about the processes and outcomes of spiritually integrated psychotherapy. Bridges Assessment System
Our Bridges research team developed the Bridges Assessment System (BAS) to provide a more effective way for clinicians and researchers to monitor the outcomes and processes of mental health treatment.
Spiritual Assessment Measures
Understanding and measuring religion and spirituality (R/S) is essential for psychology and psychotherapy. One goal of the Bridges Institute is to ensure that high-quality R/S assessment measures are available to practitioners and researchers.

ACPE
The ACPE Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) Training Program is a multi-disciplinary, inter-spiritual, multi-racial community of persons gathered for education, connection, and formation in the work of spiritually integrated psychotherapy.
Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health
Duke University’s Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health, founded in 1998 by Dr. Harold Koenig, conducts research and training on the links between religion, spirituality, and health. It shares information and encourages discussion among researchers, clinicians, theologians, and clergy.
Elijah Institute
The Bridges Institute and the Elijah Institute are partnering to advance faith-informed mental health care! This collaboration brings together two organizations committed to training mental health professionals in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP), equipping them with the tools to provide holistic, evidence-based care that respects the spiritual dimension of human flourishing.
Spiritual Competency Academy
The Spiritual Competency Academy offers a variety of online CE courses on basic and advanced spiritual competencies for mental health professionals. Founders: David Lukoff, PhD and Cassandra Vieten, PhD.
SCT-MH
The Spiritual Competency Training in Mental Health is a research supported online course is designed to train mental health providers in basic spiritual and religious competencies. Instructors: Michelle Pearce, PhD and Kenneth Pargament, PhD.
Solihten Institute
The Solihten Institute offers training and classes in spiritually integrated psychotherapy for mental health and pastoral organizations and professionals.
Spirituality and Mental Health Laboratory
The Spirituality and Mental Health Laboratory at McClean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, led by Dr. David Rosmarin, studies how spirituality and religion impact emotional well-being and distress with the ultimate goal of developing new ways to prevent and treat mental disorders.
Spirituality Mind Body Institute
The Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University provides a rich variety of resources for research, training, and education to help integrate spirituality into society. Founder: Lisa Miller, PhD.
SRCP
